Open source silicon access for all continues!
Tiny Tapeout Team
•10 May 2025
Rising from the ashes of Efabless, Jeff DiCorpo and Mohamed Kassem have started ChipFoundry, offering their first SKY130 tapeout in September.
We’re very happy to announce that ChipFoundry is going to sponsor Tiny Tapeout, helping us continue enabling open source silicon access for all!
ChipFoundry restores SKY130 access for the open source silicon community at a critical moment.
One important detail to note: their shuttles will only go ahead if at least 50% of the MPW slots are filled. ChipFoundry will confirm whether it’s a “go” two months before the final submission deadline. If not enough designs are on board by then, the run gets pushed to the next shuttle.
If you’re planning to submit, or even just thinking about it, now’s the time to speak up and share the opportunity. The more interest early on, the more likely the shuttle stays on track.
Sign up to their mailing list and buy some MPW slots!
