Tiny Tapeout 9 is closed and we broke our previous record!
369 projects were submitted. We filled 95% of the available area with an incredible range of designs that showcase the breadth of what’s possible when chip design becomes accessible!
On the digital side, standout projects include an Atari 2600 (complete with games), a wide range of CPUs and RISC-V cores, and several SDR projects. Gaming and entertainment designs also made the cut, including a 2048 sliding tile puzzle game with VGA output, Simon Says memory game, and a maze explorer game.
On the analog and mixed-signal side, designers pushed the boundaries with PLLs, opamps, ADCs, DACs, time-to-digital converters, classic 8-bit era Programmable Sound Generators (SN76489 and AY-3-8913), and even ring oscillators.
Even more ambitious: neuromorphic designs spanning spiking neural networks, Hopfield neural networks, and leaky integrate-and-fire neurons.
